How’s it going today? It’s Thomas with Guardline Security, and today we’re going to be going over the basic setup and pairing routine for your Jacob Jensen Doorbell Set.
The first step, as usual, is making sure that each of our devices has a power source. Your chime runs on six AA batteries, which are included and can be inserted under the back plate.
Your push button runs on two CR2032 batteries which are already included and in the push button. All you have to do is remove the plastic film coming out from underneath the back plate, and your push button is ready for use.
Your Jacob Jensen doorbell comes paired straight from the factory. There are just a few small things you want to do before you use your system. Most importantly, you’ll want to remove the back plate on your chime and flip the volume switch from OFF to HIGH, as the default setting is OFF.
If you wish to change the melody, you can find the melody selector in the battery compartment of your push button. There are a total five melodies to choose from.
Although this system comes paired and ready to use, it is important to understand how your push button pairs with your chime. Underneath the back plate of your chime, there are four switches in the bottom left corner. To pair your chime with your push button, you want to match the configuration of those four switches with the four switches found inside the battery compartment of your push button.
