How’s it going? This is Thomas with Guardline Security, and today we’re going to be taking a look at the Dakota Alert MURS Series Intercoms.
Just as a quick note, even though today we’ll be using one handheld and one base station in the video, the basic principles we’ll be going over apply to using multiple handhelds or multiple base stations, as the two units are completely interchangeable.
This is the longest range intercom we have. This system allows up to four miles in between the two units. The system is also fully expandable, as it supports an unlimited number of additional units. And as an added bonus, each of these two units is capable of acting as a receiver for any Dakota MURS Series sensor.
Although these two units are interchangeable and share a lot of the same basic features, there are some minor differences in between the two. For starters, the handheld radio has the option to run on batteries, whereas the base station does not. The base station also possesses a 12-volt relay in the back that can power an external device that the handheld radio does not have.
As always, thanks for watching, and if you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out and contact us at Guardlinesecurity.com.
