The Guardline is a premium outdoor DIY motion sensor alert system, but it doesn’t need to connect to the internet and share your private info. It’s high—tech, but simple and expandable. I had my three sensors mounted and working perfectly in about 30 minutes with the ability to expand to 4 zones with up to 16 sensors at some point if I want.

We’ve had the system installed for about a week and it has worked great. Our friend stores his trailer in the back next to our tractor. When he came to pick it up the other day l was alerted when he came up the drive. Then when he drove beside the building. And finally when he hooked up the trailer. I also knew exactly when he left the property.

Mark asks: Does this alarm sense when a person crosses the beam? Or only cars? How is the receiver powered? How is the sensor powered?
The sensor detects heat movement so people and cars trigger it! The receiver has a power cord that plugs into the wall for power. It also has a place for four AAA batteries as a backup power source. The sensor uses four AA batteries.
Steve asks: Is there a way to have it only work at night? During the day we are around but I want to be notified at night if someone approaches.
Yes, there is. Inside your sensor, the top right switch can be pushed to the right to engage Night Mode. Once engaged, your sensor will work only during dark and low-light conditions. Please consult your user’s manual for reference.
Alissa asks: Your specs say that it works down to -4 degrees F. If it goes below that does it need to be brought inside or can it just stay outside and it just won’t work? What do you advise to do with the unit for extremely cold weather below -4?
The sensor can work below that temperature—just make sure you are using lithium batteries in it. We have plenty of happy customers up in Alaska using our Guardline driveway alarm!
