* Wireless distance is determined with a line of sight test with no obstructions. Whenever you have walls, doors, vehicles, trees, or other interference between a sensor and receiver you should expect the quality and reliability of the connection should decrease.
I'm pretty much satisfied with it except it's a little too sensitive. Every movement, including shadows & leaf movement sets it off. Don't know how to adjust it, no way I see to adjust it. The instructions states using masking tape to narrow the view, that doesn't work, either.
I am confused, how far apart can sensor and receiver be?
This system is rated to work with up to 400 ft in between the sensor and receiver with no interference and a clean line of sight. This means that you should expect less range depending on how much interference will be present in your particular application.
When alarm is triggered, does the LED light stay on? If not, why not?
When triggered, the LED turns on for a few seconds to indicate that a signal was received by the sensor. It is just by design that the light does not stay on.
If I needed 2 sensors would that be available?
Unfortunately, that system does not support multiple sensors or receivers. The Dakota, and Guardline systems each support add-on units if that is a necessary feature.
