Long range MURS signal is the most powerful signal available.
Unlimited sensors, base stations, and radios can be added to a system and segmented into 4 separate zones.
5 channels and 38 sub channels allow base station to also act as an intercom.
Easy to set up. Simply plug in and turn on the base station. Sensor uses 6 AA batteries with up to one year of power.
Manufactured by Dakota Alert. 1 year manufacturer's warranty
** As with all wireless products the maximum range is determined by the amount of interference between base stations. Any solid obstruction in a direct line of sight range will reduce the distance of the signal between the individual base stations. For maximum distance reduce as much interference as possible.
Detection distance up to 80 feet for large vehicles; 50 feet for people
Mounting Hardware for sensor not included
12V relay allows a wired speaker, siren, or bell to be added to the sensor. Perfect for loud shops or warehouses
This is the product you want if you're looking for a driveway alarm that can be used at extreme ranges. The sensor picks up motion up to 80' away and can be placed up to 4 miles from your receiver.
The MURS base station is loaded with features. It can connect to larger systems or external accesories via a 12v output, and can act as a long-range intercom when paired with another MURS base station or handheld radio.
Infinitely expandable - add as many extra sensors or base stations as you need.
how load is the alarm, my hearing is very poor. With TV radio etc going will I be able to hear the alarm go off?
The alarm is a voice tone, and is heard over a tv in the same room at normal volume. There is also an option to route the signal from your receiver to a louder speaker via the audio output on the receiver.
will wildlife and cows set this off we live in an area in Colorado with open range for cows and lots of deer.
Any of the motion sensors on our website will detect large animals. These motion sensors use infrared sight to detect motion, so animals and people will trigger the sensor.
My question is the outside sensor will be places just inside our property on a ramp, the width is approx. 20 ft the receiver will be in our building on the first floor is its the roof 3rd 2nd 1st floor at desk. will we get the alarm...
It depends more on the material of the building, and the range in between sensor and receiver. Most people report that they can get 2 miles in between sensor and receiver with a normal amount of interference. Materials that would reduce that range would be stucco, metal, or concrete.
I reside in a cedar home. My driveway is approximately 700'. I would like a unit that picks up radio signals with possible tree interference from the transmitter to the receiver. I would like a unit that can be applied from at least 500' away. The driveway is paved, 10' wide , winds through a treed area and the signal would have to be strong enough for the receiver to pick up.
Sounds like the GL5000 would work for you. This system has a 1/4 mile range, which is more than enough to make up for the interference you have. The sensor has a 40 ft max detection range also, which should be able to cover the width of your driveway with no issues.
