  • Additional sensor compatible with the Guardline Motion Alert. This sensor is NOT compatible with the 1/4 Guardline Motion Alert
  • Add up to 4 sensors per zone (for a total of 16)
  • Sensor has a 40 ft. detection range
  • Weather resistant and ready to withstand the elements
** As with all wireless products the maximum range is determined by the amount of interference between the sensor and receiver. Any obstruction in direct line of sight range will reduce the effectiveness of the signal between the individual units. For maximum distance reduce as much interference as possible.

Amazing Product and Really Amazing Customer Service

I have used cheap driveway alerts for years - constantly being upset with their performance and chewing through batteries. After the last one failed, I decided to try Guardline's sensor. A bit more expensive, yes, but after being frustrated with $20 sensors in the past, I wanted to give it a try. I am amazed with both customer service and sensor quality! I wish I would have switched to Guardline years ago. I have their sensor mounted on a tree about 30' from the mouth of our driveway where it is sheltered. It was easy to setup and put into operation. Detection accuracy was great for a few weeks but then it had an error of constantly alerting. I called Guardline Customer Service and spoke with a most knowledgeable person. We tried a few solutions which didn't resolve the issue so he said he would send me a brand new sensor.....which arrived a few days after our phone call. The replacement sensor is working perfectly. It is about 150' from the sensor to the interior room in my steel-sided house where the receiver is located. Good strong signal as every detection comes though fine. I have the driveway under video surveillance and can glance at a monitor whenever the Guardline alerts: mailman, paper boy, cars in the driveway, UPS/FEDEX delivery vans, even people walking in the driveway have been 100% detected. False alarms are exceedingly rare: a large raven and several deer have set it off. But, sunshine, clouds creating shadows, wind blowing tree leaves, and rain do NOT cause false alarms. This is after about 2 months of experience. The system can support multiple sensors. I may get additional ones in the future, but what I have is really meeting my needs. Very good quality and superb customer service. I am very pleased!

Doesn’t Work Well at All

I purchased this product based on a friend’s experience. The first sensor was defective and Guardline had to send me a replacement but I didn’t get a shipping label so had to pay the freight for the return. No reimbursement so far. The second sensor seemed to be O.K. and I set it up with the sensor approximately 150’ away from the receiver. I figured, since this was a 500’ unit, that would be fine. Not. It didn’t work. Worse, it tripped the receiver when nothing was present. I moved the sensor closer to the receiver and it kept going off at odd intervals with nothing between it and the receiver. I disconnected the unit and will probably throw it away. I wouldn’t recommend this device to anyone. I had high hopes that it would work, but it doesn’t. Sure, it goes off. But there was no activity that would make it do so.

The sensor does not pick

The sensor does not pick up most of the time. They replaced the first one but it hasn't made a difference.

Did not work for me

I had to return this product because it gave false alarms all the time

Q: I want to use current system as alarm could you specify how wide is the beem, please include the hight and width, also what barier it needs to stop the beam , the space i,m trying to monitor is around 80 ' with posibility of installing two sensors facing outward or each other it will depend the answers i will get.thank you

A: The beam has a 12 degree field of view left to right, and a very slim vertical margin. The sensor can see at max 40 ft. For your situation, it sounds like you would need two sensors.
Q: I'm interested in the GUARDLINE WIRELESS DRIVEWAY ALARM and would like to know what exactly it means that it can go through walls. Can I place the sensor nearby the window indoor and still be able to detect motions? And how low is the lowest volume?
Answers (1)
A: The signal from the sensor from the receiver can go through walls. The sensor cannot see through windows, as it is an infrared sensor. The sensor will see the window as a solid heat signature and cannot see heat signatures on the other side of the window.
Q: Can it work from 220V output for 12V adapter on receiver?
Answers (1)
A: The Guardline receiver has an input range of 110-240V.
Q: If I mount the sensor at the opening of my garage door will the hot Florida sun set the heat sensor off? It will be used to alarm me when someone enters my garage and my garage faces SSW so it gets really hot.

A: If the you have a PIR sensor, there is a small chance that it will give off a false alarm from a quick beam of direct sunlight. A good fix for this is to have the sensor pointed in a direction where the sun will not hit the eye directly.
Q: My company is situated on a busy road with a very steep driveway. From the top of the driveway it is impossible to see if somebody is coming up until it's (almost) too late so we are looking to keep any future accidents from occurring. Is it possible to use the sensor at the bottom of the driveway and the receiver at the top in a waterproof box and connected to a light? Or is there possibly a different product that would work better?

A: As long as you keep the receiver plugged into power and kept in a weatherproof box, then your setup would work. The receiver has to be plugged into power in order to power the 12v light that you plan on running. Please give us a call at 888-519-0413 with any further questions. Devin, Guardline
