** As with all wireless products the maximum range is determined by the amount of interference between the sensor and receiver. Any obstruction in direct line of sight range will reduce the effectiveness of the signal between the individual units. For maximum distance reduce as much interference as possible.

It's loud for sure and works good picking up movement but... like title says I can't seem to get the distance part down.. had cheaper one work better. But maybe it's just me that didn't set it up right.
Easy to install and works great on our 250' drive way. Before we made the purchase, we would never know when someone came into our drive until they were at our door. No more surprises! Plan to purchase more sensors for other areas around our home.
Your specs say that it works down to -4 degrees F. If it goes below that does it need to be brought inside or can it just stay outside and it just won't work? What do you advise to do with the unit for extremely cold weather below -4?
Hi Alissa, the sensor can work below that temperature - just make sure you are using lithium batteries in it. We have plenty of happy customers up in Alaska using our Guardline driveway alarm!
Can a sensor be added to the base unit to not allow the alarm from going off (vehicle leaving)?
You can add up to 16 sensors to one receiver. The sensors can easily capture traffic from cars entering or leaving your driveway.
Is there a way to have it only work at night ? During the day we are around but I want to be notified at night if someone approaches.
Hi Steve, yes there is. Inside your sensor, the top right switch can be pushed to the right to engage Night Mode. Once engaged, your sensor will only work during dark and low-light conditions. Please consult your user's manual for reference.
I want to use current system as alarm could you specify how wide is the beem, please include the hight and width, also what barier it needs to stop the beam , the space i,m trying to monitor is around 80 ' with posibility of installing two sensors facing outward or each other it will depend the answers i will get.thank you
The beam has a 12 degree field of view left to right, and a very slim vertical margin. The sensor can see at max 40 ft. For your situation, it sounds like you would need two sensors.
I'm interested in the GUARDLINE WIRELESS DRIVEWAY ALARM and would like to know what exactly it means that it can go through walls. Can I place the sensor nearby the window indoor and still be able to detect motions? And how low is the lowest volume?
The signal from the sensor from the receiver can go through walls. The sensor cannot see through windows, as it is an infrared sensor. The sensor will see the window as a solid heat signature and cannot see heat signatures on the other side of the window.
